Stuffed animals remain one of the most popular gifts for Valentine’s Day. They go along with chocolates, wine and flowers. But some people hate it.
Believe it or not, there are quite a few such people. They either don’t like stuffed animals (crazy, right?) or they prefer other types of presents.
Even so, stuffies are very liked by many. On average, people in U S spend more than $116 on roses, candy, cards and stuffed animals for Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day is big money
This makes the day one of the most beloved for retailers. They make $13.3 billion just in the US, statisticbrain reports. This makes it one of the most important days for retail in the year after Black Friday and the Christmas shopping.
Also, 53% of women say they will end a relationship if they don’t receive anything for Valentine’s Day. But guys, don’t worry. You don’t have to break the bank. Ladies care more about the present being thoughtful and that you care, too. So, if she loves stuffed animals, they are indeed a great gift for Valentine’s Day.
You don’t have to stick to classic Valentine’s themed toys. For example you can get her a themed toy for HBO’s Game of Thrones. How about the Game of Thrones Ghost Direwolf Plush like the one above. Now that’s cool, right?
If you are skilled with your hands, you can go even further. You can make her a stuffed animal yourself. It’s not that difficult. All you need are a couple of hours of your time and some creative ideas. We have you covered with a lot of tutorials.
You can also help out others. Vermont Teddy Bear released a special One-of-a-Kind Sweetheart Bear. “This Bear is special in so many ways,” says Bear Brand Manager Abigail Temeles to VermontBiz. “She’s the only one of her kind, and she brings a lifetime of love this Valentine’s Day while supporting a charity we are very passionate about. We are really proud of this Bear.”
One-of-a-Kind Sweetheart Bear features lilac eyes, cream faux mink fur, and an Elizabethan-inspired, Baroque-pink brocade gown accented in silk and Venetian lace. Her head is adorned with an organza fascinator edged in real pink pearls. The final touch is a personalized love note from the winner that will be placed in the back pocket of the pink Valentine she carries. Bidding is open now on eBay. The proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish Vermont. So, we say Yay on stuffed animals for Valentine’s Day gifts. How about you?
