Winkel Colorburst Toys are recalled because of choking hazardThe Winkel Colorburst Toys have been recalled by their maker The Manhattan Toy Company. The recall is for about 15000 toys sold in the US and Canada.

The Winkel Colorburst is a colorful teething toy. It’s made out of colorful pliable plastic loops.

Sadly, some of the color loops can become brittle and can break. Hence, the baby might try to eat these pieces which is dangerous.

A total of 14 400 toys in the US are recalled. Another 1000 were sold in Canada. Only activity balls with the following lot codes are included in this recall: 206880 DH; 206880 EH; 206880 HH; 206871 EH, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission says.

You can find the lot code on the cube in the middle of the toy, and also on the hang tag and the box if it hasn’t been opened yet

The toys were sold in toy stores nationwide and online from May 2015 to September 2016. The good news is so far, there haven’t been any reported incidents. Still, the toy company prefers to be safe and recall the toys.
