Force Friday II will see the start of the sales of many toys related to the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie. Disney expects over 20 000 stores in 30 countries to take part.
In the US, even the biggest non-toy retailers are joining… forces. Wal-Mart, Target and even Apple will hold special Force Friday II events.
Force Friday II officially begins at 12:01 AM on Friday, Sept. 1 and it will continue through Sunday, Sept. 3. The Walmart stores that will offer the events include Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Northwest Arkansas, Orlando, San Antonio, San Jose, and Seattle, hosting #BeJediReady events in its stores and in their parking lots. Among the activities you will find there are Jedi training games with lightsabers, photo-ops with Star Wars characters, toy demos, video games and etc.
Apple is also hosting Jedi activity as its stores will offer free Star Wars-themed events. Apple will even extend the promotion from Sept. 1 all the way through Sept. 9. “Explore how to create a Star Wars trailer with authentic footage from the films,” the company writes. Apple will even offer simple coding games along with Star Wars.
So, it’s going to be a very busy weekend for Star Wars fans. But it’s also shaping up to be very fun.
