Charlie and Chip are a mother and a baby pair. They have plenty of interactive features like cuddling, feeding time and naps.
If you take Chip too far away from Charlie, both will cry until they are reunited. They also have other features to allow them to interact more with kids that play with them.
“We’re really excited about our marketing activation plan to support the launch of Charlie and Chip,” said marketing manager Tom Bennie, to ToyNews. “We will kick off the campaign by hosting a special celebrity launch event for the press at ZSL London Zoo following World Gorilla Day in September. Alongside traditional TV advertising, we are also pulling together digital content and a social media campaign to truly engage with kids and parents.”
Vivid has big plans for Charlie and Chip. The company wants to make the cute gorilla pair among the top Christmas gift this year. The toys will hit the stores in the UK this September at 70 British pounds for the pair. This makes them on the pricey side, so it will be interesting to see if that will translate into more or less buys for Christmas.
