Sometimes it happens. You see that you have too many stuffed animals. You don’t want to throw them out, but you simply can’t accomodate them all anymore. This is where an organization like Tired Teddies can help you out.
Tired Teddies is a charity that takes donations in the form of stuffed animals. Mainly the ones you need to find a new home for.
Agents at Strano & Associates Real Estate (824 N Market St) and students at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School in Waterloo, IL are heading up this year’s donation drive, KTVI reports.
They will take stuffies and bring them over to Stanley Steemer. There they will be cleaned and sanitized.
Afterwards the toys will be given to the students who will distribute them to children in need in the area. Another portion of the toys will be given to first responders to emergency situations, like medics, policemen and firemen. They will keep the stuffed animals in their vehicles and give them to children in stressful situations.
The students have already filled three large boxes. Strano & Associates will be taking donations until December 12.
Also be careful not to confuse the organization Tired Teddies with the natural sleep aid for kids that bears the same name. This one is for medical use for children who have trouble sleeping.
