November is typically the time when lots of charity events kick into full gear. This year is no exception as there are plenty of ways to donate.
There are teddy bear toss events, toy drives and various campaigns. All of them give back to the community and you can help out, too.
Local first responding teams usually need stuffed animals which they give to kids in need. Toy drives also gather toys for hospitals. Organizations like the Salvation Army needs toys and donations for Christmas gifts for families in need.
There are plenty of opportunities and you simply need to look at your local media, listings and pages to find out how you can help out. Usually, it’s very simple and takes little to no time.
All you have to do is get a toy or another form of donation and bring it to the location. Or just go the the teddy bear toss event of your local hockey team. These events usually are all the time during the winter season. And with a little effort you can make someone’s holidays a bit better.
