The Powerpuff Girls are one of Cartoon Network’s most famous shows and brands. They will be getting a new series and toy line with plush next year.
The Powerpuff Girls have generated more than 2.5 billion dollars for Cartoon Network since their first debut. This makes them one of the top grossing brands of the children’s channel in its entire history. The popularity of the Powerpuff Girls is still going strong, so the network is trying to cash in.
It is already developing a reimagined series for next year. Furthermore, Cartoon Network is already working with Spin Master to make a whole new line of toys, ToyNews reports. It will include plush toys, action figures, play sets, dolls and many more.
The goal is to debut the new toy range internationally in the autumn of 2016. So far little is know about the new toys. We bet they will be quite interesting though and we can’t wait to check out the new look of the Powerpuff Girls.
The new series will follow them as they deal with school and still having to save the world, but before bedtime. The new series will boast the vocal talents of Amanda Leighton as Blossom, Kristen Li as Bubbles, Natalie Palamides as Buttercup and Tom Kenny who will be reprising his role as the narrator and Mayor.
At the same time, Penguin Young Readers Group is prepping a new series of books based on the Powerpuff Girls. They will also debut next year in the autumn. Jakks Pacific’s Disguise Inc. is prepping costumes for fans of the trio which will follow their new look. Basically, if you are a fan of The Powerpuff Girls, start saving up, because next year is going to be a big one for you.
