The Toy Retailers Association in the UK is ready with this year’s DreamToys list. It’s recognized as the most accurate predictive list for popular toys.
The list this year is quite extensive. It was decided by a panel of leading toy retailers and covers the toys they expect will be most popular for this Christmas.
“From licensing heroes such as Star Wars and PAW Patrol to collectable favourites like Shopkins and LOL, this year’s Dream Toys list represents a real sense of fun, excitement and imagination,” said Gary Grant, chair of the Dream Toys selection committee to ToyNews. “The list is a diverse mix of quality toys which embody the wonder and surprise of Christmas time, with a present to suit every budget.”
According to NPD, British kids aged up to 11 will receive on average 11 toys for Christmas, worth collectively £121. “All year, affordable collectables have topped the best-seller lists, with seven out of the top ten best-selling toys since the beginning of 2017 retailing under £10,” said Frederique Tutt, global industry analyst for the NPD Group’s toy division.
