Collider has posted the catalogue which features quite a lot of details about the line of toys and movie. So possible spoilers ahead, although if you’ve watched the trailers, you probably won’t see anything new here.. The catalogue leaks about a week before Hasbro’s Force Friday on September 4th when the toy line was set to be unveiled.
There will be action figures, play sets and much more cool stuff. If you are fan of the franchise you will be spoiled for choice. Most of the figures will be new only for the new characters. The already known characters will feature figures we’ve already seen, but some will be updated.
Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens hits theaters on December 18, 2015, followed by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story on December 16, 2016, Star Wars: Episode VIII on May 26, 2017, and the Han Solo Star Wars film on May 25, 2018. Star Wars: Episode IX is expected to reach theaters in 2019, followed by the third Star Wars standalone film in 2020.
This means you are set for five full years of Star Wars movies. To be honest, this may be overkill, but if the stories are all thrilling and interesting, then it may just be what any fan of the series has always dreamed of.
What it also means, it years of Star Wars toys. The toy marathon is starting on September 4ht. According to StarWars.com the toys will not only please the fans but they will create new ones, too.
“Every lightsaber, every action figure, every LEGO set tells a story for generations of Star Wars fans, and this global event is a celebration of those stories. We’re excited to be part of the countdown to this enormous movie moment,” said Josh Silverman, executive vice president, global licensing, Disney Consumer Products.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens products will land in our galaxy on September 4, 2015, at 12:01 a.m. — “Force Friday” — with stores around the world opening their doors at midnight for a special celebration of all things Star Wars. It will be a day long remembered.
