A few days ago the Everett Silvertips also held their teddy bear toss of the year. Now the team announced the official result – 9719 stuffed animals.
The Silvertips won their game against the Seattle Thunderbirds 6-1, MyEveretNews reports. A total of 8133 fans came to the event.
They threw 9719 stuffed animals after the first goal of the game. This brings the team’s grant total to almost 35 000 plushies.
That’s quite the result for the last four seasons. Now the teddy bears and stuffed animals will go to kids in the local communities. First responders usually also get stuffed animals to have in their vehicles. They then give them to kids in traumatic situations.

It’s the high time of teddy bear toss games as teams aim to get toys in time for Christmas. Even so, there are still such events after the holidays and into January, too. So, there’s still time to take part in a teddy bear toss near you.
