The D23 Expo kicked off in Anaheim, California. During the first day of the event Pixar and Disney revealed more about their latest movie plans.
As you know, Disney has a lot in the works. The company is working on Frozen 2, Wreck-It Ralph 2, The Incredibles 2, Toy Story 4 and more.
Disney’s Cars 3 received positive reviews. This helped the company start on a positive vibe and is looking forward to the next movies, too.
Frozen 2 for example now has a concrete date. The movie will premiere on November 27, 2019. That’s quite a lot of time. Currently, the plans are to call the movie Frozen 2 or something else Frozen related. Disney keeps details about the plot a secret.
There are more details about Ralph, though. The movie will be called Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2″. The movie will hit the cinemas on November 21, 2018. Ralph and Vanellope have to travel into the internet to find a part for her game, which broke. Vanellope will even get to hang with all of the Disney princeses for a bit. And a lot of the movie will show you Disney poking fun at itself, ABC News reported.
Toy Story 4 is also progressing well. The movie will debut on June 21, 2019. The big change there is that the movie will be directed by Josh Cooley alone.
Meanwhile, The Incredibles 2 are reaching the final steps. The movie will premiere on June 15, 2018. The entire family is back, has new allies and will have a new villain. And the movie will show off new animation technology for even better details.
There’s more to come from Disney this year, too. The movie Coco will debut on November 22, 2017. The latest installment of Star Wars is also coming in December.
Disney is working on at least two more currently untitled movies. One of them will be a theatrical feature film exploring the world and future of aviation. The other one is probably animated in a fantasy world where there are more unicorns than rats.
Of course, with so many movies, you can also be sure that there will be many, many toys for you to choose from. So, you better get your wallets ready… and the free space to accommodate the new additions to your collections.
