The Cleveland Monsters had their Teddy Bear Toss game this weekend. They lost to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, but they won the charity weekend.

The game gathered 11.567 fans, who threw 8672 stuffed animals onto the ice. It’s a very decent showing and gathered a lot of toys for the local charities.

As you can expect, that was a big moment of the evening. Up until this point the Cleveland Monsters were losing 0:2, so the Teddy Bear Toss pause gave them a chance to relax and have fun for a bit.

This proved important, as they then came back into the game with new energy. They had several great chances to make the game a tie, but ultimately the Penguins one 1:3.

Still, the big winner are the local charities and the kids. The teddy bears will bring some smiles to them and that’s what most important.
