The Charlotte Checkers and their fans gathered almost 2000 stuffed animals for the local community. It was all part of this year’s Teddy Bear Toss.
It was quite the game for the Checkers. They won against Hartford and thus extended their win streak to five games.
It’s the team’s record for the season which they have evened out twice before. It’s also the 14th win of the season. The team’s longest win streak overall is 7 games which they achieved last year.
So, as you can expect, all of this made the crowd already quite thrilled and happy. The team was actually losing 1:0 when they scored which set the teddy bear toss.

The avalanche of stuffed animals helped the team and the players came back much stronger after the teddy bear toss. They started playing better and turned over the game and won it in the end. And the local community gets almost 2000 stuffed animals for kids in need. That’s a Saturday well spent.
