Between 20 000 and 30 000 bikers are expected to take part in the 35th annual Toy Run in Benoni. Each will bring at least one toy or stuffed animal.
The 35th Gauteng Motorcycle Toy Run will be on November 27th 2017. And the bikers will gather at the Benoni Northerns Sports Grounds.
The goal of the organizer Graeme Cartwright is to set a new record in participants and donations. If you don’t have a bike, but want to participate, you’re welcome, too.
There are a few requirements for everyone who are attending the event. Participants are asked to bring along at least one toy, toiletry item, educational toy or stationery. If you want and can bring more than one item, do so.
Important: Toy guns, knives and battery-operated toys will not be accepted.
The bikers will gather at Irene Village Mall, The Blockhouse Garage, Carnival City Casino, Silverstar Casino and MotoMate Rivonia (women’s run). Bikers will start arriving from 9am onwards.
On the Sports Grounds there will be a wide variety of booths, stalls, live entertainment, mini-events and more. Toy Run badges and T-Shirt will also be on sale.
All donations will then be given to underprivileged children around the US. For more information contact Graeme Cartwright on 083 463 2761, or Pete Beart on 083 229 6621.
