Teenager filled a stadium with 10 500 teddy bears in honor of a friend

Teenager filled a stadium with 10 500 teddy bears in honor of a friendThese days having a true friend is a rare privilege. Aidan Jackson embodies the definition of a true friend. He filled a stadium with teddy bears to honor her friend who passed away.

Aidan gathered 10 500 teddy bears and stuffed animals to fill the Select Stadium in Widnes, UK. The goal was to raise money for the Olivia Alice Foundation. It is in honor of Olivia Walker, who died two years ago from complications due to her disabilities, Metro reports.

Aidan and Olivia were very good friends. They met at a swimming club and became friends. Aidan knows Olivia loved stuffed animals, so he made it his mission to gather as much stuffed animals as possible in her honor.

Teddy Bears unite

And he did it. People from all over the world sent teddy bears and stuffed animals to Aidan. ‘My sister was in China at the time and she was telling people about the project. Her professor told everyone to buy teddies’, he told the Liverpool Echo. One woman even donated 500 teddy bears herself.

Finally, the big day came. It took the team six hours to place a stuffed animal on every possible seat of the stadium. There were 10 500 teddy bears and stuffed animals in total. All of the stuffed animals will be donated to various charities.

Along with that Aidan and his family raised 2 600 British pounds for the Olivia Alice Foundation. It donates equipment to hospitals. Aidan raised another 6 500 British pounds earlier this year by swimming the equivalent of the English Channel over three months.

He continues to raise support for his goal and has a GoFundMe page where you can help if you want. If you read the page, you will see that it was actually for this very event. Sadly, he didn’t get much support, but that didn’t stop him. He still managed to accomplish his goal. Now that’s a friend we should all dream for. We are hoping that now he will get some support for his next goal.
