The classic Teddy Ruxpin is coming back! The interactive teddy bear will be here in 2017 with all new features and the classic appearance! We can’t wait!
Teddy Ruxpin debuted originally in 1985. He was an unique toy for the time and featured a built-in cassette player. He could also move his mouth and make facial expressions.
While some kids liked Teddy Ruxpin, others thought he was creepy. As a whole though, he became a popular and iconic toy. Now he’s coming back and is taking advantage of the latest technologies.
The new and improved Teddy Ruxpin
The new Teddy Ruxpin made his debut during the Dallas Toy Fair this week. He is made by the company called Wicked Cool Toys. Sadly, they are planning to release the toy in August 2017. That’s almost a full year!
Even so, the wait will be worth it. The new Teddy Ruxpin will have built-in flash drive with 4GB of memory. You will be able to connect to the toy with Bluetooh via a mobile device. There is also a free app to use for reading stories and singing songs through Teddy Ruxpin.
The new teddy bear will have an improved system for making facial expression. He will have new animated eyes which can display 40 different full color expressions and pictures. For example, his eyes can show little hearts, start and other things Teddy Ruxpin “feels” at the given moment.
The new teddy bear is definitely something to check out. We can’t wait to find out more, so stay tuned!
