Star Wars is continuing to enjoy an enormous popularity and this reflects on the themed toys of the franchise. They are the most wanted for this year.

At least this is what the 2015 TTPM Most Wanted List from TTPM shows which was announced at the annual TTPM Holiday Showcase in New York, the Examiner reports. The show featured over 55 exhibitors that showed off their toys and offers for this holiday season.

But the highlight of the show was the Most Wanted List. It is derived from over 5000 product reviews and searches for the most in-demand toys and kids lifestyle products. The list combines two themes: seamless integration of technology into toys and reengaging a new audience.

Kids today have never lived in a world without a smartphone and toys are like novel products for them, says Jim Silver TTPM CEO. The goal these days for the toys is to recapture the attention of children and show them that off-screen entertainment can be fun, too, he adds.

The release of a new Star Wars movie is a perfect way for the toys to do that. Star Wars is a popular franchise and it provides an opportunity for the creation and popularization of new toys. This is why Star Wars tops the 2015 Most Wanted List and even has it’s on category. There are three others: Preschool Power, Toys for Bigger Kids and Innovations in Classic Play.

The Star Wars toys category features Hasbro’s “Star Wars The Black Series Kylo Ren Force FX Lightsaber,” Sphero’s “Star Wars The Force Awakens BB-8 Droid,” Spin Master’s “Star Wars Millennium Falcon R/C Quad” and LEGO’s “LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens Millennium Falcon”.

In the Preschool Power segment you will find Fisher Price’s “Bright Beats Smart Touch Play Space” and “Imaginext Ultra T-Rex,” VTech’s “Go Go Smart Wheels RC Speedway” and Spin Master’s “Paw Patroller”.

The Toys for Bigger Kids category (8-12 years old) features Warner Bros.’ “LEGO Dimensions Game,” Hasbro’s “Nerf Rival,” Jakks Pacific’s “Marvel Avengers XPV Remote Control Hulk Smash” and Disney Consumer Products/Hasbro Inc.’s “Playmation Marvel’s Avengers.”

The Innovations in Classic Play category is filled by Wicked Cool Toys’ “Girl Scouts Cookie Oven,” Mattel’s “Hot Wheels Ultimate Garage” and “Barbie Saddle ‘N Ride Horse,” Just Play’s “Club Petz Lucy Puppy Dog” and “The Peanuts Movie Happy Dance Snoopy,” Hasbro’s “FurReal Friends StarLily, My Magical Unicorn,” Moose Toys’ “Shopkins Fashion Spree Fashion Boutique” and “Little Live Pets Clevekeet,” Spin Master’s “Bunchems” and VTech’s “Kidizoom Smartwatch DX.”
