Most retailers echo this. Star Wars is all the rage this year for Halloween. What’s more, it doesn’t really matter as which character you will dress up. If it is Star Wars-themed you are good to go.
Naturally new characters from the latest movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens are the first stop. But classic characters and costumes are also well received. CDA News even has made a top 5 list of the Star Wars Halloween costumes for kids this year. Surprisingly most of the classicls like Yoda, Boba Fett, Han Solo and the likes don’t make this list.
Instead, most of the newer characters rock the list. This is normal considering it is the hot topic at the moment. So for example, at number five is Rey. It is the only female character to make the list, according to CDA News.
At number four is Kylo Ren, the new Sith Lord. The good thing is that the Star Wars characters and accessories are so popular at the moment, you can easily put together a costume out of various items or simply get a full set.
At number three is a Jedi costume. It doesn’t matter if it’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker or any other Jedi. You can even be a Jedi yourself. What matters is to rock a Jedi costume, lightsaber and you are ready to go.
Second place on the list is one of the most elaborate costumes – a Stormtrooper or a Clone Trooper. A cheap option is a fabric costume with printed Stormtrooper armor on it. A more expensive, but much more realistic option is a full blown costume with plastic armor, blaster gun and a helmet.
Can you guess who is at number one? Yes, once again, it is Darth Vader. For a bad guy he certainly quite popular with everyone. This also means that you shouldn’t have trouble securing a Darth Vader costume for Halloween since there would be tons of them available. Your main challenge would be to pick one out of the many different options. But as long as you have black overalls, a long black cape, the mask and gloves, you should be good to go.
