Despite a few mishaps, the Hatchimals continue to earn praise. Now Spin Master has won the 2017 Innovative Toy of the Year thanks to them.

This happened at the Toy of the Year Awards during the North American International Toy Fair in New York. Or, as it’s more famous as the New York Toy Fair.

There Spin Master won the coveted Innovative toy of the Year for the Hatchimals. This is the second year in a row that Spin Master wins this category. Last year it won it for the Meccano Meccanoid 2.0.

This year Spin Master received nine nominations in eight categories. The company won a total of three awards. The other two were for Vehicle of the Year for the Star Wars X-Wing vs Death star, Rebel Assault Air Hogs. It also won License of the Year for the PAW Patrol.

So far, Spin Master has received 82 Toy of the Year nominations. It has won 21 TOTYs across all categories. THe company also has 13 nominations for Innovative Toy of the Year – more than any of its competitors.
