Spin Master is launching a whole new line of stuffed animals and figurines based on the characters from the movie The Secret Life of Pets.
The company is the master toy partner and will be in charge of the main wave of toys that are themed from the movie. Spin Master says to ToyNews that it expects the toys and stuffed animals to be a big hit.
So big, they might even challenge the success of the Minions. The toy range will include stuffed animals, figurines, even interactive and motorized toys.
“Absolutely it can replicate the success of Minions in the toy space. We’re very excited to launch the Secret Life of Pets property and we believe it will have broad appeal among boys and girls of all ages. With such a variety of fun pet characters, each with their own unique personality, there’s a pet that will resonate with every consumer,” Phil Hooper, Spin Master’s UK commercial marketing director, told ToyNews.
The Secret Life of Pets toys will bring the launch of a new toy line as well. It is called Walking Pet and, as you can tell, it features the mentioned motorized toys. “Our new toy range offers a great variety of figures and premium plush that really capture each character’s unique personality with fun poses, expressions, sounds and phrases. We expect our strongest performers will be our TV promoted Walking Talking Pet Figures and our lead plush, Walking Pet Max”, added Hooper.
Spin Master is not giving much details about the launch dates of the toys. We expect they are imminent for the first wave of toys with the rest gradually following depending on interest in various markets.
