Both Spin Master and Ikon are working together for the new series and toys. They will have a special campaign which will last several months.
The new toy line is already making its way to stores. Australian fans can also enjoy the Bakugan Battle Planet series on the local version of Cartoon Network.
Both companies want to attract new fans to Bakugan but also appeal to the original fans. The series debuted about a decade ago and was quite popular.
But the scene today is quite different. Ikon says that 40% of parents say they buy something for their kids because it’s associated with a social media personality. For that reason the new Bakugan is now going to have a special social media campaign.
There will also be other events in the campaign with the goal to promote both the animated series and the new toys. Most of the toys are small action figures with lots of articulation. There are also “battle packs” with 5 or more figured and several cards included.
