Shopkins will expand with many new toys and brands including Build-A-BearShopkins is going to try to keep its big popularity with over 50 new licenses with other brands. This comes soon after the teaming up with Build-A-Bear.

Moose Toys’ says they have over 50 top-tier licensees in several industries. All of these will help Shopkins continue to expand after a stunning year, ToyNews reports.

“It’s a thrill for us to continue to work with these top-tier licensees who are leaders in their industries. We have big plans for 2018 and 2019 and we’re excited to build upon the success we have experienced over the last few years,” added Nicole Hardiman, head of global licensing of Moose Toys.

The Shopkins collection now features over 1000 collectible characters. There are also 70 webisodes online. And by the looks of it, all of this is going co continue to grow even more over the next two years.

The new licensees join companies like Pez, Build-A-Bear, Skechers. Among the new additions are companies from categories including publishing (Scholastic and Little Bee), apparel (Bentex and Hybrid), Bicycles (Dynacraft) and bedding (Jay Franco).

This brings the total Shopkins licensees to over 220. The little toys have truly become a global brand now. For 2016 alone they have reached $1 billion in retail sales. And with these new additions, that figure is bound to grow even more.
