Sambro launches new Sesame Street plush animals and puppetsThe 2017 Toy Fair is kicking off in high gear. Sambro launched a new line of Sesame Street plush animals and hand puppets. The range will be for Europe.

The Toy Fair is currently underway in the UK. Sambro has long been a Sesame Street toy partner and now gets to expand the line of toys even more.

The new Sesame Workshop toys will be for the UK, Benelux, Iberia, the Nordic countries and Central and Easter Europe. The toy line is going to be quite big.

Open Sesame for the plush

Sambro wants to put a focus on variety. The company also aims to build a strong presence in major retailers. Hence, the Sesame Street plush are going to play a major role.

“We are pleased to be working with Sambro to offer children and their families a new collection of Sesame Street products. They will help spark imaginative play, creativity and learning,” said Risa Greenbaum, assistant vice president, international licensing, Sesame Workshop to ToyNews.

“The TV show is as popular as ever. And with a new generation of new fans who love the characters as much as their parents did. We are absolutely delighted to partner with Sesame Street. It’s an honor to be able to develop these characters into what we feel will be a classic plush collection”, Nikki Samuels, licensing director at Sambro adds.

Sambro doesn’t reveal much details about the plush range. We expect that pretty much all characters will get their own stuffed animal version. The same would also happen for the puppets. The toys will be in the stores soon, so keep an eye out.
