Teddy bears are great souvenirs. So much, that Princess Cruises announced it will offer a new bear in Alaska this season. And it will come as a mascot, too.
Princess Cruises plans to make the new bear both a mascot and to offer it in plush, TravelPulse reports. The new teddy bear would be ideal to take on a cruise ship journey.
The new bear is called Stanley. It’s named after Stanley B. McDonald who is the founder of Princess Cruise. All of the brand’s ships will have the new Stanley Bear.
The mascot will interact with guests and will be available for photo-ops. Stanley bear will also take part during some of the entertainment events on the board of the ships. One of them will be of particular fun to most kids – Where on the ship is Stanley?
And when the night comes, Stanley will change into a Captain’s uniform. He will also host storytelling sessions for kids. Stanley will make appearances on the company’s ships all over the world and will rock different outfits according to the region.
The souvenir teddy bears will cost $24.95 at the onboard gift shop. A portion of the money will go towards the PAWS: Princess Animal Welfare Sponsor charity.
