Popular "Where The Wild Things Are" series gets its own plush seriesIn a partnership with Warner Bros. Entertainment, the R. John Wright Dolls Company (RJW) will produce characters from the classic book and film “Where the Wild Things Are”, the company has informed StuffedParty.com.

The partnership is exclusive. Based on Maurice Sendak’s Caldecott Medal winner The “Where the Wild Things Are” collection will be led by “Max” who will be made entirely of 100% wool felt and fully jointed.

Standing approximately 8″ tall, Max will have a distinctive custom face mold, a black mohair wig, and delicately hand painted features. He will come costumed in his all-felt removable wolf costume as shown in the illustration with his crown and scepter, the company announced.

The three Wild Things – “Moishe”, “Bernard”, and “Tzippy” – will accompany Max on his adventure. They are made entirely of wool felt and plush fabrics. The Wild Things will be fully jointed and will stand approximately 11″ tall. Each will have molded hand painted features, fearsome claws and teeth, delicate airbrushed shading, and leather-covered hand painted eyes. Long story short, they will be made out of top quality materials and will look as close to the original characters as possible.

This is not the first time R. John Wright has partnered with Warner Brothers to make special toy versions of famous characters. The company has already made limited editions of Paddington Bear, Winnie-the-Pooh, The Little Prince, Raggedy Ann and many, many others over it’s 40-year history. The Vermont based USA Company has already produced limited editions of in larger doll size and mice size renditions of the Wizard of Oz characters including the Tin Man, Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, the Wicked Witch, and is in current production of the Cowardly Lion. R. John Wright is currently partnered with Warner Brothers to produce limited edition dolls of the Wizard of Oz film characters.
