And with a new movie and a TV show, Paddington will get some new toys. Copyrights Group has named PhatMojo its new master toy partner for Paddington across the US, Canada, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand, ToyNews reported.
PhatMojo will create the entire product range of Paddington toys and they will be tied to the upcoming content. The range will feature stuffed animals, figurines, play-sets and role-play items.
The first toys will launch in Autumn 2020 – just in time for the start of the TV series. And the toys will make their ways to all markets with new and existing partnerships.
The TV series will bear the name The Adventures of Paddington. It will feature fully animated 3D characters and will showcase the adventures of a young Paddington who writes to his Aunt Lucy. The series will have 26 episodes of 22 minutes each.
“It’s so cool, and such an honour, to become part of the great Paddington tradition. The new TV and film content is inspiring to us. Bringing Paddington to the pre-school aisle will be a joy”, Shawn McCarthy, PhatMojo CEO, says.
The third movie is also already in the works. It will most likely come after the TV series.
