Nickelodeon introduces its first augmented reality appNickelodeon introduced its first-ever augmented reality app. It’s already launching in Australia and it’s called Do Not Touch. Yet, you will be touching.

The app combines several mini-games inside along with “interactive surprises”. Most of the activities include SpongeBob SquarePants, The Loud House, Slime and the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards blimp, along with original animations.

The main element of the app is the Do Not Touch button of Nickelodeon. When you do touch it, it generates random animations and interactive experiences.

Since the app is using augmented reality (AR), it’s also going to “place” these animations on your surroundings as they are captured by your device’s camera. This way you can interact with them as if they were really in your home.

Nickelodeon plans to update the app with new games and features on a weekly basis. And it will make its way to other countries, as well. So keep an eye out on Google Play and Apple’s App Store to see if it’s arrived to your country.
