Several stuffed animals are waiting for their owners after they have forgotten them during annual Teddy Bear Picnic at Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg.
The toys were with their owners to check out over 40 tents in the park with various fun family activities. Sadly, some of the stuffed animals were left behind. It’s not surprising as the organizers say there were, wait for it, 67 000 guests and stuffies at the event!
Even so, the forgotten stuffed animals are now sad and missing their owners. The plushies have been collected by The Children’s Hospital Foundation and are now waiting for their owners to come pick them up.
“They miss their owners very much and would like to go home,” said Tanya Williams, the foundation’s communications director. “Please help reunite them with their buddies.” Anyone who recognizes one of the toys should contact the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba at 204-787-4000. The toys include an elephant, a few bears, a cow and a tiny tiger. A total of 8 stuffies are seeking their owners.
The suffies are well catered for and have fond memories from the 30th annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Assiniboine Park on Sunday. All they want now is for their owners to come back and pick them up. You can check out many pictures from the event right here.
