One of the big movies next year is going to be the return of Top Gun: Maverick with Tom Cruise. Paramount Pictures is expecting it to be a very big deal.
So big, that it’s already working on toys from an the movie. And it has chosen Mattel as the global toy partner for the Top Gun franchise, ToyNews reports.
As a result, you can expect a whole lot of Top Gun toys. Among them we will see diecast vehicles and aircrafts, play-sets and a lot of other toys and games.
The new toy line will feature moments and characters from both the original movie and the new sequel. This way fans of the flying flick will get to enjoy both movies in their collections.
“We are thrilled to bring Top Gun to life for both kids and their parents who undoubtedly fell in love with the franchise over thirty years ago. Our design-led approach has allowed us to recreate the high-octane action from the movie with a line of toys that will impress fans of all ages”, said Janet Hsu, chief franchise management officer of Mattel.
You can expect the Top Gun toys to debut in toy stores globally in 2020. The first wave of toys will come before the movie US debut which is slated for June 2020.
