LEGO is celebrating its 60th Anniversary with several initiatives. Among them is adding several new limited edition playsets. They are themed with different topics and feature parts from the various decades.
One of the playsets is called Bricks on a Roll 10715. It features lots of rounded bricks and parts. Among them is a wide selection of LEGO wheels, plus a mix of bright and colorful LEGO bricks and special pieces, including shapes and eyes.
It also has an instruction booklet, 3 levels of building complexity and other stuff. Even the box is special featuring mostly a classic design. The box contains 442 pieces and will cost $29.97. It’s exclusive to Walmart.
If you miss it, don’t worry, there will be two other limited edition sets. One of them will make its debut on February 5th 2018 and the other one a few days later on February 9th.
Walmart also sells a Lego set with prices from 1958. The Lego 60th Anniversary Exclusive Bundle: Lego Classic Creative Building Set 10702 and sand baseplate will be on sale for $5.65. The set containing 583 pieces will be on sale on Feb. 3, 7 and 11.
Meanwhile, Universal Brand Development and the LEGO Group have announced their largest Jurassic World partnership to date, ToyNews reports. It’s offering an expanded line of construction sets, all-new animated content, and, for the first time ever, a lifestyle collection.
The new themed playsets will debut around the movie’s debut in June. They will cover every LEGO age category. There’s going to be a total of 13 playsets in all categories. Sadly no Technic set, so far. The first ones will hit the stores in April in Toys R Us and Walmart. Additionally, fans will find new soft line and publishing offerings available later this year. Sadly, there’s not a lot of information on these toys. Hopefully, there will be more soon.
