One of the beautiful things about LEGO is that you can create pretty much anything with the parts you have. Now LEGO is going one step further.
LEGO announced a new competition. In it children can participate by designing their own LEGO Friends set.
Kids should put in some effort though. The winning set will be put into production and will go on sale in the UK and Ireland, ToyNews reports.
So, that’s a big reward. But it’s about to get bigger. The winning set will also feature a LEGO Minifigure off the child who created the playset.
Also, the winner will get to stay for a week with up to four people at the LEGO Group HQ in Denmark. There he or she will work with LEGO Friends’ designer teams to help them bring their project to life.
The competition is already underway. You can enter it via www.lego.com/friends or the LEGO Friends Facebook app. Kids from ages 6 to 12 can take part in it.
In March, the LEGO team will select the 20 semi-finalists. A special judging panel will then pick the 10 finalists. And the winner will be chosen on March 17th 2017.
Later in the year their winning design will become a part of the LEGO Friends line. It will be sold in Toys R Us and LEGO’s own retails stores in the UK and Ireland.
