You know we here love our LEGO sets. Now, the company has partnered with one of the biggest names in the automotive world. All to bring us the most advanced LEGO Technic set ever – the 42083 Bugatti Chiron.
The set is quite comprehensive. It features a grand total of 3599 pieces! With them you can build a 1:8 scale Bugatti Chiron down to the smallest details.
Of course, it also keeps its classic LEGO Technic form and style. But you also get to build the W16 engine with moving pistons and the working suspension.
The model also features opening doors, a detailed cockpit and a working 8-speed gearbox. Under the front hood there’s a serial number and a Bugatti luggage back.
“This 1:8 scale model comes with a classic Bugatti duo-tone blue color scheme that reflects the brand’s signature color, and a set of stickers for additional detailing. The set is delivered in luxurious box packaging and includes a color collector’s booklet with comprehensive building instructions”, LEGO says on their site.
But wait, there’s more! The model also features an Active Rear Wing, detailed brake discs and a lot more. You even get to build a replica of the “top speed key” which every Chiron owner gets. With it you can change the mode of the rear wing. Basically the only non-LEGO style parts are the wheels which are an exact replica of the real thing.
The entire model has been developed in a partnership between LEGO and Bugatti. And it’s already on sale! Happily, it’s way cheaper than the real Chiron which costs more than $2 million. Still, it’s not cheap by LEGO standards – $349.99 in the US, 329.99 Pounds in the UK, $399.99 in Canada, 369.99 Euro in Germany and 379.99 in France. It’s out globally for similar prices.
