It’s been a while since LEGO has talked about its movie plans. In 2015 the company made waves as it ventured into the world of cinema with its The LEGO Movie. Now, it’s working on a sequel.
Earlier this week the company confirmed that it has chosen the release date: February 8, 2019. The movie has a typical “catchy” name: The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.
It seems that The Second Part will continue with the same ironic approach and style. So far the company is keeping the details about the movie under wraps.
Various reports suggest that the movie will tackle big society topics. Among them are issues surrounding gender and the manner in which children play, ToyNews reports.
This means that once again the LEGO movie will raise a lot of debate. Both issues have been hot topics for a while now. And since it will probably keep its original satiric style, the LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will probably be quite entertaining. And also thought provoking at the same time.
So, it’s definitely going to be an interesting one to follow. More details are bound to come out as time goes by. And we are also awaiting impatiently for the first trailer to be ready. This won’t happen for the next few weeks probably, but stay tuned!
