LEGO and Top Gear unveil the App Controlled Rally CarLEGO introduced its first collaborative project with BBC’s Top Gear. The company will release the LEGO Technic App Controlled Top Gear Rally Car.

That’s quite the long name. In typical Top Gear fashion, the new set will debut in an unusual way.

It won’t make it to the stores in time for Christmas. In fact, it will launch globally in toy store on December 26, 2019. So, it will debut a day after Christmas.

The realistic-looking rally car is made for kids ages 9 and above. LEGO and Top Gear teams worked together on the design and stickers. LEGO also added some new technologies to the set.

You will be able to remote control the car via the LEGO Technic Control+ app. The finished car has functions such as steering, multi-touch control and gyro control. The app also offers different challenges and achievements to deliver a thrilling, immersive play experience.

“It’s exciting to have collaborated with LEGO Technic on this and it’s a very natural fit for the Top Gear brand. The LEGO Technic Top Gear Rally Car is the result of several months hard work from the LEGO and BBC Studios teams and we can’t wait to see it on the shelves soon,” said Jason Easy, head of licensing UK, BBC Studios to ToyNews.

Also included in the set are one large motor, one XL motor and a Bluetooth controller. So far the prices for the LEGO Top Gear Rally Car aren’t known.
