This year NASA will mark 50 years from the historic moon landing of Apollo 11. Among the many celebrations, NASA and LEGO will team up for a special playset.
It will allow kids and fans of science to built their very own Apollo 11 lunar lander. And it’s quite the impressive playset.
The official name of it is the 10266 LEGO Creator Expert NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander. That’s quite the long, long name.
The playset is also quite impressive. It comes with a total of 1087 pieces, making it one of the largest in LEGO’s current offers. It will feature a surprisingly detailed lunar module, along with two minifigures representing astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.
The kid actually features two stages. The first one is the descent stage: The descent stage has the Apollo 11 use its gold-coloured landing pads and panels, laser hatches, and a ladder. And the ascent stage gives builders the chance to create the craft’s detailed interior.
The set also features a bit of Moon with craters, plates, footprints and a flag. All of it will start sales from June 1st, 2019 and the price will be 85 British pounds.
