Jakks Pacific has announced it is preparing a new toy line for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It will feature various toys some of which are already out.
“Our full range of products mimics the action, adventure and fun of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles experience”, says Jakks Pacific’s Jack McGrath to Licensing.biz. He adds that the company is partnering with Nickelodeon to develop the new toys.
The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys are already making their way to various retailers nationwide, including the new XPV RC Skateboarding Mikey.
The variety of toys is quite big. They are put together in the so-called 2016 TMNT toy line. It includes 48.5-inch Big Figs based on characters from the series, a TMNT Activity Table Set, a Colour N’ Play Activity Playland, a Fold N’ Go Chair and more.
“We’re excited that Nickelodeon has chosen Jakks to bring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, one of their most iconic properties, to life in fun and innovative new ways this year,” said Jack McGrath, COO at Jakks Pacific.
Will there be action figures of the Ninja Turtles? For sure. Will there be any plush and stuffed toys based on the funky characters? We sure hope so. Especially since stuffed toy sales continue to rise, we think toy manufacturers will starting to look more and more towards these types of toys. Yay.
