Jakks Pacific has debuted a new toy line inspired from the Warcraft video game and its upcoming movie. The toy line features mostly action figures.
The first additions to the toy line have been out for a while. It has seen great success and master toy partner Jakks Pacific is now planning on expanding it.
“We have had a lot of success with the line among a whole host of retailers we otherwise wouldn’t have found ourselves working with,” ‘a Jakks Pacific spokesperson told ToyNews. This is why the company is now adding a lot of new hobby and other retailers to the ones which are offering the current and new toy line.
“These action figures and large scale figures have opened up a new audience of independent hobby specialists to us, and it has been great to see the success of them at retail”, the company added. “The line is a bit more collector focused than our other toy lines,” Ken Goodisson, UK senior marketing manager at Jakks Pacific explained.
What this means is that there will be a lot more Warcraft themed toys on the way. “This is due to the many devoted Warcraft fans who love the game and mythology of the Warcraft universe and who tend to like the higher details of these types of collectable toys. Fan reaction when we revealed the line at Blizzcon was overwhelmingly positive. These fans and fans of Warcraft in general are learning that Jakks creates great collectables for top licences like Warcraft”, Goodisson added.
The first new wave of Warcraft toys can be expected along with the debut of the movie. This is happening right now for various markets, which means the toys would be out very soon, so keep a look out!
