IKEA has turned its attention to kids with its latest service. It will turn children’s drawings into stuffed animals, but only for select few for charity.
Stuffed animals are a popular toy for all. IKEA has decided to join the charity events for the end of the year with a special initiative. It will be making 10 special stuffed animals that are based entirely on children’s drawings.
The toy line is called Soft Toys for Education. it will feature the unique toys and every purchase will result in a one euro donation toward children’s education projects via Unicef and Save the Children. Over the last 12 years the Soft Toys for Education campaign has enabled IKEA Foundation to donate €67 million – reaching more than 11 million children in 46 countries, through 99 projects.
The limited edition collection of 10 stuffed animals will be launching this November. IKEA isn’t saying how many stuffies will there be. The toys will be priced between $5 and $7 with varying sizes but they generally fall in the medium size category.
