Toy safety is always important and has been a relatively hot topic lately. Finding safe toys isn’t all that difficult, especially when you know some tips.
The folks at Rosenbaum & Associates along with NBC Philadelphia have made a list with 10 tips for buying safe toys. Thanks to them you can improve your toy buying habits.
Chances are you already know most of these tip. Still, a good reminder is always welcome.
The list includes several very good tips. One of them is to keep up-to-date with the CPSC website and check for toy recalls before you go to buy them.
It’s also a good idea to stay age-appropriate. This means buying only the toys which are suitable for your kids’ current age.
Also, always inspect the toys yourself. If you have a toddler, make sure the toy doesn’t have any small parts that can detach. Also avoid too loud toys.
When it comes to stuffed animals, again pay attention to the age they are suitable for. And avoid plushies with glued-on parts. Instead opt for the ones that have embroidered eyes and features and strong seams. This is important for toddlers and smaller kids.
The list features a few more cool tips, so be sure to check it out.
