Hasbro launched a new FurReal Tyler the Playful Tiger stuffed animal for the International Tiger DayHasbro joined the festivities of the International Tiger Day in a special way. The toy company introduced the new Tyler the Playful Tiger FurReal plushie.

The International Tiger Day was on July 29. It’s dedicated to raise awareness of tiger conservation and the importance of protecting natural habitats.

Sadly, there are only around 3000 real, freeroaming tigers left. Over 97% of wild tigers have disappeared over the last century.

So, they need help. Hasbro joins the work with the new Tyler the Playful TIger FurReal Friend. The plushie is of a tiger cub. A very playful tiger cub.

Tyler has soft, cuddly fur, big green eyes and a “ferocious mouth full of teeth”. Don’t worry though, he won’t hurt you. He will respond to touch and sounds and tries to move and rorar like a real tiger cub.

Tyler made his debut during the New York International Toy fare. He was supposed to debut during the fall, but Hasbro decided to launch him early for the International Tiger Day. He features more than 1000 motion and sound combinations. The toy has several sensors all over the body to detect touch and provide different reactions.

He comes along with a bright yellow squeaky toy which is his particular favorite. Squeeze it around him and he will want to play. He will even chew it. His legs and body are posable, so kids can play along.

Tyler aims to be a somewhat realistic tiger cub. He won’t talk or sing, but you can still feel the connection and communication. He would be a great way to get to know tigers a little bit more and raise awareness for their preservation in the wild.
