Disney and Lucasfilm are preparing the new line of Star Wars content and toys. The new line is called Star Wars Forces of Destiny and it will celebrate some of the franchise’s most famous characters, ToyNews reports.

Star Wars Forces of Destiny will start later this year with a series of short animated movies. Each will explore new adventures and details about key Star Wars characters.

Among them are Rey, Jyn Erso, Sabine Wren, Princess Leia, Ahsoka Tano and more. Then, the companies will release a line of books and a TV special. All of this is coming this year.

While all of this is happening, Hasbro will also join the Star Wars frenzy. Hasbro is working on a line of individually designed action figures. They will feature dynamic action along with multiple points of articulation to help recreate the character’s adventures and heroic moments.

The figures are 11-inches tall. Among the first characters planned are Rey, Jyn Erso, Princess Leia, Sabine Wren and an iconcic cast of sidekicks and villains such as BB-8, Chewbacca, Kylo Ren and more.

Hasbro is also rolling out Star Wars Forces of Destiny role play and accessories. There are also apparel and accessories coming. Star Wars Forces of Destiny will remain true to the Star Wars canon and launching in July, the animated micro-series will be available on Disney YouTube ahead of a two-part TV special, featuring eight additional shorts on Disney Channel in autumn this year.

The end goal is simple. To create new content, toys and features for all fans – old and young, new and long time.
