Every year thousands of pets are rescued and need a new home. Hasbro and Battersea Dogs and Cats team together to help care and rehome these pets.
Hasbro will use their interactive stuffed animals FurReal Friends Chatty Charlie The Barkin’ Beagle and his best friend Conker. They will spearhead the initiative, ToyNews reports.
The program is UK-based. Battersea Dogs and Cats are one of UK’s most famous and oldest animal rescue centers.
“At Battersea we care for around 7,000 dogs and cats every year. Each animal is different and it’s so important to find the right homes for them,” added Ali Taylor, head of canine behaviour at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. “There’s nothing better than seeing our animals go to loving new homes – it’s the most rewarding part of the job. We’re delighted to be working with Hasbro and Chatty Charlie – this partnership is a great way to educate children and families alike on the importance of rehoming rescue dogs.”
“Battersea Dogs & Cats Home is such an iconic institution and their commitment and passion towards the welfare of dogs and cats is so important,” said Craig Wilkins, marketing director at Hasbro. “It’s fantastic to help Battersea reinforce this message using Chatty Charlie, one of the most exciting new additions to the FurReal family.”
