The worlds most favorite bear, Winnie the Pooh, recently turned 88. We wanted to take some time and wish Happy Birthday to Winnie the Pooh and all of his friends.
On October 14 1926 A.A. Milne’s book was published for the first time. The story is inspired by Milne’s son Christopher Robin and his favorite stuffed teddy bear. All of the friends of Winnie the Pooh are also inspired by Robin’s stuffed animal collection.
The stories grabbed the hearts of millions of people all over the world. Lots of versions of Winnie the Pooh poped up but the original was the most beloved.
Until Disney’s version came along. They turned Winnie the Pooh into a cartoon and gave him and his friends their visual appereance we all know today.
Over the years Pooh has grown above a childrens’ story or a cartoon. He has started a lot of ways of thought. His quotes are all over the web. He teaches us love and compassion. He teaches us to be good and positive. He teaches us to focus on our work, to value our friends.
In short, Winnie the Pooh teaches us a lot of things. And he does that while putting smiles on our faces. We love you, Pooh. Happy Birthday!
