Gruffalo will get new stuffed animals and other toys

Gruffalo will get new stuffed animals and other toysThe popular animated franchise The Gruffalo will continue to get stuffed animal toys. It will also get some new toys in other areas, too.

This is possible thanks to several new deals that Magic Light Pictures has setup. They are with several companies, including Visage, MBI, Playpress, Snappyjack and Robert Fredrick, ToyNews reports.

Among them is also Aurora. They have been working with the company since 2009. Now they get a renewed license for another three years.

This license will see them make several new stuffed animals for The Gruffalo. “We are thrilled to see The Gruffalo venturing out in new categories, to give the many fans fresh opportunities to engage with him and his world. The Gruffalo’s 20th anniversary in 2019 saw exceptional growth and a big range of marketing activity, so it is great to carry on this momentum into 2020 with further development of our licensing programme. It’s testimony to the fantastic work our in-house licensing team is doing to grow the Gruffalo brand”, says Daryl Shute, brand director at Magic Light Pictures.

Among other toys are a buildable play-set by Playpress which will feature recyclable and biodegradable materials. Snappjack will make a Gruffalo playground signage. Visage will make Gruffalo craft printed fabrics, while MBI will go for gifting and collectables. Robert Fredrick will launch a range of stationery, gifts, and games this summer.
