Etch A Sketch is one of the most popular toys of the last few decades. It’s now marking its 60th anniversary and Spin Master has some special celebrations in store.
The company announced it’s launching several special Etch A Sketch editions. They are all in collaboration with big brands and organizations.
Spin Master is planning five special Etch A Sketch editions. They are with Hasbro‘s Monopoly brand, NASA, Rubik’s, and the estate of comic book legend Stan Lee. There’s also a Rubik’s Cube edition and a special Etch A Sketch Diamond Anniversary version.
“The Etch A Sketch drawing toy is one of only a handful of breakthrough toys that’s popularity spans generations,” says Arlene Biran, vice president of marketing for activities and building sets, Spin Master. “It is a timeless toy that encourages creativity on a magic screen that doesn’t need WIFI. Our series of limited-edition collaborations with other inspiring and imaginative classics honors 60 years of unplugged creativity.”
Spin Master is not going to rely only on the classics. This summer the company will release a new version of Etch A Sketch. It will feature a spinning screen, allowing kids to draw circles and more. You can expect the new version to debut in August 2020. As for the special and limited editions, they will be out throughout the year, so keep your eyes peeled.
