The big movie releases start from 2019 onwards. Disney has slated quite a few huge movies for that year.
It all starts from March 2019 with a new Captain Marvel movie. Next up is a new Avengers movie and then a surprise. Star Wars: Episode IX will be coming in May 2019.
There’s a reason for that – Disney has the rights for Star Wars up to some time in 2019, so the company will be looking to make the most of it. Of course, it can always resign for more years, so plans can change.
But we’re not even halfway with the Disney movies for 2019. Coming in June is Toy Story 4. Then in July – a live action version of The Lion King and then in November – Frozen 2.
There’s also a fifth Indiana Jones movie in the works. It was slated for 2019, but it looks to be moved to 2020. Need more movies? Later this year is the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie. Then in 2018 is another spin-off which will focus on Han Solo and it’s slated for a May release. Also for 2018 are the Black Panther, The Incredibles 2, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Mary Poppins Returns and others.
As for 2021 – most movies still don’t have names. But they will continue several of Pixar’s franchises and also a few of Marvel’s.
And for this year, you have Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales coming in may. In June – Cars e and in November – Thor: Ragnarok, followed by Coco.
As you can imagine, all of these movies are simply toy heaven. They are filled with popular characters which opens the doors for a flood of all types of toys, plush, games and apparel. So, if you’re a Disney movie and toy fan, be prepared to spend a lot.
