Winnie the Pooh may be getting a visual makeover. Disney teased this by releasing the first poster for the upcoming Christopher Robin live action movie. It shows our first CGI Winnie the Pooh ever.
Well, it shows most of him, but not his head. It’s under a top hat and Pooh is waving reclining on a briefcase and an umbrella.
The first trailer is also due any time now which should reveal Pooh and how the movie will look. It’s the first live action movie featuring Winnie-the-Pooh.
Pooh though isn’t the main theme of the movie. It’s instead Christopher Robin as a grown-up who has lost his way. So, Pooh and his plush friends will venture into our world for the first time to help Robin. They want him to remember the loving boy who is still inside him.
We will get to see pretty much all of Pooh’s gang. The film stars Ewan McGregor as Christopher Robin; Hayley Atwell as his wife Evelyn; Bronte Carmichael as his daughter Madeline; and Mark Gatiss as Keith Winslow, Robin’s boss. The film also features the voices of: Jim Cummings as Winnie the Pooh; Chris O’Dowd as Tigger; Brad Garrett as Eeyore; Toby Jones as Owl; Nick Mohammed as Piglet; Peter Capaldi as Rabbit; and Sophie Okonedo as Kanga. Directed by Finding Neverland and Quantum of Solace filmmaker Marc Forster.
The original plot synopsis is this: “In the heartwarming Christopher Robin, the young boy who embarked on countless adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with his band of spirited and lovable stuffed animals, has grown up and lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin remember the loving and playful boy who is still inside.
