The annual Teddy Bear Picnic in Chlomondeley Castle is an annual event. This year it is organized by the local The Wingate Centre.
This is a specialist holiday centre which provides residential breaks and sports and recreation activities for children and young adults with disabilities. The Wingate Centre is only four miles from Cholmondeley Castle and was the chosen charity for the 2016 event.
The Teddy Bear Picnic is packed with events
The organizers have planned a whole host of fun activities planned. Volunteers will help with a whole bunch of activities. Among them are hook a duck, the teddy tombola, arts and crafts, bouncy castle, bear hunt. Also offered will be Punch and Judy, face painting, Pimm’s Tent, and a special Frozen performance from Princess Elsa.

In order to enter the Castle Gardens you will need a ticket. Adult tickets cost £7, children’s cost £4 and under threes go free. If you book your tickets online, you will receive a free child ticket with every adult ticket purchased. Also, a larger proportion of your ticket proceeds will go to The Wingate Centre.
Finally, the gates open at 11am and close at 5pm. Also, be sure to bring your favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal with you for the event! And, have fun!
