“I’m excited to share we will be one of the first companies to provide the digital and internet phenomenon who is trending higher than all the presidential candidates combined,” Build-A-Bear CEO Sharon Price John said during a presentation on Tuesday at the ICR Conference in Orlando, Florida.
John adds that the Build-A-Bear Baby Yoda will make its way to the stores in the next few months. She adds the company has been working with Disney “almost with the first episode”.
It’s been reported that Disney kept Baby Yoda’s character a secret from everyone. It even referred to it with a different name.
This proved to be a very clever move. Baby Yoda immediately became a top star and related merchandise is in very high demand. Despite that most companies will need a few more weeks or months before they are ready with their toys.
This seems to only fuel interest for Baby Yoda toys even more. It’s definitely going to be a very dynamic spring and summer for The Mandalorian fans. And Baby Yoda fans, of course.
