On August 13 2016 Barnstaple, England is the place to be for local fans of stuffed animals. The town center will host a Teddy Bear Picnic and you’re invited.
Families and children from all ages are invited to come to the Teddy Bear Picnic. There will be tables along Butchers Row where the event will be held.
The event serves two goals. The first one is to help fans of teddy bears and stuffed animal meet up and have fun. Also, the second goal is to give them and the visitors of the city an opportunity to sample some of the local produce and check out the market.
And that’s not all. The event will feature entertainment as well. Also, there will be a competition to find hidden teddy bears. Also, Punch and Judy will do special shows.
Finally, there will be magic tricks, face painting, glitter tattoos, music and much more. Of course, you can always simply have a chat with fellow teddy bear and stuffed animals fans.
The event is organized by Barnstaple Town Centre Management and pannier market traders. “Since the original song was written in 1907, teddy bear picnics have been popular throughout the world. We are planning our family event to celebrate the summer in Barnstaple. And we hope that lots of people and their teddies are able to attend”, Town centre manager Hannah Harrington said to North Devon Gazette.
